Sept. 18, 2023: MSU confirms investigation into potential breaches of confidentiality in ongoing Office for Civil Rights case

Michigan State University has contracted with an outside firm, Jones Day, to conduct an investigation into alleged breaches of confidentiality by MSU officials and others in an ongoing Office for Civil Rights case in which Mel Tucker is the respondent. The process of commencing the investigation began on Sept. 12.

 

Confidentiality in Office for Civil Rights cases is paramount. The university investigation will be thorough, and the outside firm will follow the facts wherever they may lead.
